Planning an everyday drink spot with someone you care for
A practical setup conversation about reach, support and familiar drinkware.

Ask where the drink belongs
Begin with the person’s preference rather than assuming which side is easier. Check the position while they are sitting in their usual chair. Keep books, remotes and other frequently used items from pushing the drink to the edge. A tabletop arrangement is something to agree on together, not a test of independence.
Check the whole resting area
Steadi needs full support for its 5.2-inch footprint on a level stationary surface. Leave room to grasp the drink without catching nearby objects. Do not place it on a sloping armrest or a table section that moves when leaned on. Recheck the setup when the chair or table is moved.
Keep drinking decisions separate
Use the drinkware and method already appropriate for the person. This holder does not assess swallowing, change fluid recommendations or make a straw suitable. Where a care plan or clinician gives instructions, those remain the basis for the drinking routine. Steadi only changes the resting footprint of a compatible container.
Make cleanup straightforward
Remove the container and hand wash Steadi. Let it dry before returning it to the chosen spot. The cup may have different care instructions; do not put the holder in the dishwasher just because the cup can go there. Keep needed assistance and the person’s normal routine unchanged.
